Guardian triumphs at Games Media Awards

We claim best newspaper coverage of video games for fourth year running.

Sorry, but it would be remiss of us not to mention this... At the extremely packed Games Media Awards ceremony last night, The Guardian won in the 'Games Coverage by a National Newspaper' category for the fourth year in a row. The annual industry event, which took place at London's Bloomsbury Ballroom, also saw Retro Gamer taking the gong for Best Magazine and much-loved, but now sadly departed publication PC Zone honored as this years Games Media Legend.

Gamesblog was also nominated in the 'Games Blog' category but lost out to specialist PC site, Rock, Paper, Shotgun. Let's not dwell on that.

Four years in a row!
